Miss Callan took part in the prestigious UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador Programme. As one of just 65 teachers selected from across the country, she spent time fully immersed in the workings of Parliament—watching debates in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, meeting MPs, Lords, and even quizzing the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle. A highlight of the experience was a meeting with our local MP, Sean Woodcock, where they discussed the importance of political education in schools. Miss Callan is excited to bring everything she’s learned back to our school and the wider PFMAC community to help inspire the next generation in understanding democracy and political engagement
