  • ✨ Child-Led Liturgy – Jesus’ Heart for Peace ✨

    Today, our child-led liturgy focused on Jesus’ heart for peace. The children reflected beautifully on what peace means and how we can share it with others.

    Each child wrote their own idea of how they can bring peace into the world today on a special dove. These doves are now displayed in school as a reminder of the small but powerful ways we can make a difference.

    We are very proud of their thoughtful contributions and the calm, reflective atmosphere they created. 🕊️💛

    The children had a beautiful discussion of what we might like to say ‘thank you’ for. They came up with a huge list of wonderful things! They then went away to write their own personal prayers of thanks which we have made into a book, for our prayer table 🥰

    This week in Science, Year 4 have been investigating how we hear sound 🦻🏼The children explored how sounds are made when objects vibrate, and discovered that these vibrations travel through the air and into our ears 🦻🏼We even had a go at drawing our own ears!

    This morning we gathered together for a special assembly led by Henry from The Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum. He spoke to us about Remembrance Day and the meaning behind this special time of year 🌹We listened to 'In Flanders Field' read by some of our wonderful Year 6s and took some time to reflect together on the significance of the day. The children sat reverently and beautifully throughout.

  • A Special Remembrance Visit to Green Pastures

    This morning, our Chaplaincy Team visited Green Pastures Nursing Home to reflect on Remembrance and join the residents in observing the two-minute silence.

    Afterwards, the children spent time reading with the residents, doing some colouring, and making poppies together. Everyone loved sharing stories and memories, it was a truly special experience for both the children and the residents.

    We also laid our Remembrance wreath at the care home. What a lovely and meaningful morning we had! ❤️🌺

  • ➕ MARVELLOUS ADDING IN MATHS ➕

    WOW! The children have amazed me with maths this morning - we were so impressed!

    We added 3 addends together by making ten first! This included using our number bonds to 10 knowledge. We used the tens frame and counters to show our knowledge brilliantly!
