The children enjoyed a lovely walk to the post box this morning and were a credit to the school. Thank you to Netti’s mum for helping us.
Along the way, we practised our road safety skills and looked out for landmarks that we can use when creating maps later.
The children were excited to post their Father’s Day cards and sent them on their way with a kiss! ๐๐
Keep an eye on the post – they should be arriving soon!
We had a fantastic day on our Victorian school trip! The children experienced life in a Victorian classroom, tried on traditional clothing, and learned what school was like in the past.
They were a credit to our school throughout the day, showing excellent manners and behaviour. We were very proud of them!
The children in Year 2 have used their wonderful talents to create stunning Pentecost artwork ๐๏ธ.
Year 6 boys took part in a football fixture. Despite challenging weather conditions, they played superbly away at Bloxham and earned a 2–2 draw. With parts of the match played in hailstones, the team showed great resilience coming back twice after being 1–0 and 2–1 down to secure the result. Well done, boys!
The children created fantastic sketches using oil pastel techniques. We’ve proudly displayed their work in the classroom to launch our new Coastline topic ๐
Thank you so much for coming to our Easter Bonnet Parade. We truly appreciate the time and effort you put into creating such beautiful bonnets with the children they all looked fantastic!
At the beginning of the month, our Eco Warriors helped brighten up the school grounds by planting seeds as part of World Wildlife Day ๐ฑ๐ผ
We’re hoping to see some beautiful flowers blooming very soon, which will help attract more wildlife to our St John’s grounds. We’re excited to watch our garden grow!
We are delighted to share the exciting news of the very first match played by our newly established Year 6 boys football team! A huge thank you to the Cummings family, who have very generously sponsored both our home and away kits for the team. The boys were incredibly proud to wear them for their first fixture. We would also like to extend our thanks to Mr Mawn and Mrs Camilleri for their dedication, time and support in refereeing and coaching the boys. The team played brilliantly, demonstrating fantastic sportsmanship, teamwork and determination throughout the match. They were excellent ambassadors for our schooland we are extremely proud of them. The match ended in a 1–1 draw against Christopher Rawlings, which was a fantastic result for their first game together.
