A huge thank you to the Cummings family, who have very generously sponsored both our home and away kits for the team. The boys were incredibly proud to wear them for their first fixture. We would also like to extend our thanks to Mr Mawn and Mrs Camilleri for their dedication, time and support in refereeing and coaching the boys. The team played brilliantly, demonstrating fantastic sportsmanship, teamwork and determination throughout the match. They were excellent ambassadors for our schooland we are extremely proud of them. The match ended in a 1–1 draw against Christopher Rawlings, which was a fantastic result for their first game together.

The children reflected beautifully on what peace means and how we can share it with others.

Each child wrote their own idea of how they can bring peace into the world today on a special dove. These doves are now displayed in school as a reminder of the small but powerful ways we can make a difference.

We are very proud of their thoughtful contributions and the calm, reflective atmosphere they created. 🕊️💛

Afterwards, the children spent time reading with the residents, doing some colouring, and making poppies together. Everyone loved sharing stories and memories, it was a truly special experience for both the children and the residents.

We also laid our Remembrance wreath at the care home. What a lovely and meaningful morning we had! ❤️🌺

We gathered together to listen to Parable of 'The Lost Sheep'. The children asked some thoughtful questions and the class responded so beautifully. We understood that God is like the shepherd guiding us (his sheep) on the right paths. The children responded to our liturgy by writing about how we know that God loves us 💞.

We look forward to more groups leading us in prayer each week and we are excited to welcome our prayer bear back tomorrow 🥰

Year 4 have been putting their imaginations to work by writing beautiful postcards from their “trip” to the region. From snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef to hiking through the rainforests of Papua New Guinea, their writing brought these amazing destinations to life.

The postcards were filled with wonderful descriptions, exciting adventures, and thoughtful reflections – a fantastic way to combine geography and creative writing.

Mrs Wickens EVEN had the famous lemon buns delivered from Whitby for us to try. 🍋 We look forward to taste-testing them later on!

The Youth Group at St Joseph has been really thriving this year. Quite a few children from St John's and St Joseph's have joined us.
We would like to invite the children in y5 and y6 to taste and see what we do at Youth Group, on July 13th!
We will have prayers, food and games! Both the Seniors and Juniors members will attend.

Today our Year 5 & 6 pupils had a visit from PC Rob Kelly, our local police officer, to talk about an important and relevant topic: the age of criminal responsibility and how this applies to children aged 10 and above in England and Wales.
PC Kelly explained that once a child turns 10 years old, they can be held legally responsible for their actions. This means that behaviour such as theft, damage, or harmful communication can have serious consequences – even at a young age.
